Greetings Fellow Kiwanians............

Next Week Punt, Pass and Kick
We need all members to come to next weeks meeting and to help out with Punt,Pass and Kick at the Hilltop...

We still have four clubs to attend for inter clubs by the end of the month. With that being said, we have a great opportunity
on Saturday September 20th. The Lake Delta and Westmoreland Clubs will be having their Installation Dinner that night in New Hartford at the American Legion. $18.00 for the dinner including 50/50. With the following menu, Roast Beef Ham, Chicken and Baked Ziti and lots of Salads... New Hartford Legion all ways puts on a great meal. Freddy called me with this info as I got home from our meeting. He's says to come hungry, that they will have a lot of food. The best part is, that if we can go, we will get credit for both Westmoreland and Lake Delta for this years Inter clubs. So we have a great opportunity to get these clubs done in one shot. We have a group of guys going to Old Forge for their installation the following day on Sunday the 21st. Which will give us Rome to do all the clubs for this year. I'll need to let both clubs know how many will be coming to their respective dinners, by next week end. Come to next weeks meeting to finalize who and where you may attend......

Keep in mind our installation dinner is on October 18th at The Knight Spot.......,

Also keep in mind we have another Parking opportunity at

Feb 2008

It's been a very interesting year so far in 2008. We finished 2007 strong with our Fall Raffle and The Gram Loraine Christmas Program. Both were a great success. The next year we will be able to help 30 children in Garm Loraine. Thanks to all who participated in the program. And special thanks to Angelo Riente for his great efforts in the fund raising for this event. Thanks to Big willy for his help in that area as well.

We recently went to the first divisional of Fred Jaynes term as Lt. Governor at Clinton. We went to the Shenandoah Club for the meeting and had a great time. Joe, Don, Mac and Dave went.

The New York District Governor will be visiting the Central Division on March 8th at Dibbles Inn in Vernon NY. The dinner is $20.00 per person and the 50/50 is included in the price. Cash Bar and Social Hour at 6:15 to 7:00PM. Dinner at 7:00PM. Any one interested in attending let Dave or Mac know the Saturday before the dinner.

We also recently helped out with the Red Cross at the Ilion Municipal Building in their Blood Drive. Every person who donated blood got a coupon from Dunkin Donuts for a free pound of Dunkin Donuts Coffee. That was the most successful drive in Ilion in quite some time. They collected 40 plus pints of blood.

This past Saturday meeting we had Marietta Phillips and Heather Irons form The Frankfort Free Library and their early Literacy program come and speak about their programs and what is happening at the Library. The previous week we had Vinny Ioccvazzi come and speak about his experiences in The 911 and Catrina aftermath search and recovery of the remains of those who were lost during those tragic events.

The Fund Raising Committee has been meeting every other week. Some of the things we have been discussing are as follows. Pop Corn machine, Pizza Wagon, Food Trailer for Events. Place mats for Pancake Breakfast. Golf Tournament and Bowlathon. If any one has any suggestions please let someone on the committee know you thoughts.

The next three months will be busy for us. We have our Annual Palm Sunday Pancake Breakfast on March 16th. On March 28th we will have our 34th annual Frankfort Kiwanis vs the Frankfort Schuyler Faculty Basketball Game, with Hot Shot contest and Three Point Shoot- Out for the kids as well as the Jr. vs Sr. Class Game. The in April we will be having a Bowlathon with the Builders and Key Clubs.

Don't forget this year is the 80th Year of the Frankfort Kiwanis Club. We will be holding a Summer Party/ Cookout to celebrate our Anniversary. We are looking for some time in June to hold the party. So keep that in mind for your future planning.

Please remember to sell your tickets for mthe Pancake Breakfast and The Basketball Game.
